The guy I bought the house off of has an older pontoon boat that we can't get out of the drive cause we can't get his motor up. It's a 90hp mercury about 1994. We looked for some type of bypass or manual override to disconect the power t&t but could not find one. Anyone have any advice? I really want to get the cat house out of here ;D

Take the cover off and you should find two solenoids in front of the motor. One up and one down. Short them out with a screwdriver and that will raise or lower the motor. Of course the first thing to check is if the battery is charged.

Hey duff...
I had the same thing happen when a module went out. On MOST outboards with trim/tilt, there will be two modules inside the motorhousing.. they are square and side by side. One is for trim up and the other module is for trim dwn. You can removeone module and use the other module in its location to raise or lower the motor position.
You can buy modules at a marina or take your module to NAPA, they are MUCH CHEAPER.. I now carry a couple spare modules..
