My soon to be son-in-law is full time military and a hunter; I set him up with my Martin Cougar so he is going to be a 2 season hunter now and I'm gaining access to the mil side of Atterbury - I may well need to use that program. Thank you for the timely info noblefhfh. (Besides we have to do something to put some pressure on Woody's team this fall!)

Lots of time, but little access or money. I hope to arrow a couple in town here, but unless I get a Hunters helping Farmers connection I'm going to be pretty much out of the gun game this year. None of the FWAs around me allow bonus antlerless.

I am more than happy to purchase a bonus tag to "kill" deer for any friend that desires venison. My money goes to the state and my friends get some venison they would not have had otherwise, giving is better than recieving. FHFH is a wonderful program everyone should be happy to help via a $15.00 bonus antlerless license fee.

As is stands today in Indiana one can legally kill 490 anterlerless deer IF they have ground to hunt in each Indiana county, UDZ and the time and money to do it.. This does not even count the number of state park hunts and military reservation hunts. Anybody plan on "tagging out"? It would only cost me gas money. Don't think I could eat that much deer in a year though. lol

Hi all, I hope that everyone that has the good fortune to harvest several deer this year and years to come , will consider donating one to the Farmers And Hunters Feeding The Hungry program. It does not cost the hunter anything to donate to us. I am one of the coordinators in north east indiana and if you need I can get you information on chapters in your area. There are about 22 or more chapters. 50 lbs of meat will provide 200 meals in the county where it is donated. Yes .... information please. Donation center closest to knox county would be great .... What part of Knox County. Kenny Dewigs in Gibson County takes donations. I think there is a list in the regulations book the says who will take donated deer. I think thats where I read it anyways.

I give all I take to an Amish fellow a few miles from where I hunt, more kids than Carters' got little liver pills. Take as many as the law allows, if there isn't a sufficient take in that area, the landowners are known to make up for it year rounds, and that includes big bucks. To a lot of them, a deer is a deer is a deer. Bought my '09 pin at the State Fair, 5 bucks to go to the fund that helps pay for processing donated deer. How many on this board buy that pin? Would be interesting to know how many don't have a clue as to what I'm referring too!
