whats with all the salt blocks in peoples pictures? I hope they are not anywhere close to where these people hunt.

whats with all the salt blocks in peoples pictures? I hope they are not anywhere close to where these people hunt. Most people just use salt to draw them to their cams to see what their local herd consists of. But yes i hope he doesn't have a blind/stand anywhere near it. Be sure to remove any/all baits 10 days before opening day! Good luck All

I agree - about 2.5 years old, but the ones with the spots are probably younger.

And don't forget to remove all the soil where you placed that salt block, the area is still "contaminated" after you remove the block!

That one with the stickers has an awfully massive rack for a 2.5 year old. I've noticed that a lot of the deer posted here get aged at 2.5 unless they have a 20 inch spread and a 300 lb body wieght. I think you'd be nuts to pass that one, unless you were positive there were much bigger specimens around. Of course it is hard to make accurate assesments from summer pictures. Even big ones look spindly in the summer.
