Checked the cam and found this deer a couple times. How big do you think he will go? My buddy said hold off 1 more year. I think he's nuts!!!!!!

You would have to have some booners running around to pass up that buck. Not very many palmated typicals like that around. It might score non-typical with the extra beams (drops?) on each side. I'd put him on the wall in a heartbeat!

Tricky one to score due to the palmation & lack of uniformity. 160+/- SHOOTER! I love the strange shaped racks.........

On a scale of 1 to 10 it gets a 9.5. Lots of hamburger there and that rack will look good on a plaque on the wall.

I'd kill him, when I was a kid, now and when I'm older! He is a shooter!

As for what to use, that totally depends on your skill with said equipment.

The choice of weapon makes no difference to me, I capable with either or. I was just looking to see what the majority would choose to use if presented with the oppurtunity to do so. The way I see it is getting the opportunity to have a chance at this deer is going to be hard enough. But adding the recurve to the mix makes for more of a memorable hunt and a challenge. Most people are telling me It be crazy to go after it with a recurve. I look at it as how many hunters would love to get a deer like this with a recurve. My only concern would be penetration on the deer and the limitation on the distance. I normally stay under 20 yards with the recurve, and with my luck it will show up at 40 yds. This is my dilema, I guess if it's ment to be it will happen either way. Just trying to see what other people think about it.

It is the journey that counts, not the destination.....

Hopefully you can put the smack-down on the rascal for your most memorable hunt when you are carrying the recurve...... Good luck!
