I got drawn for Versailles. I guess I did not get the zone out my back door, but I know what little is coming to the apple trees in my yard so that could be a good thing.

I got drawn for the first hunt at Shakamak. Kind of convenient being a few miles up the road. With a possible layoff coming this winter where I work, I'll be looking to fill the freezer. This is the first time I've put in for a park hunt. What should I expect? Here's the link to check the draw results: www.in.gov/dnr/parklake/5655.htm

Woodmaster and I both were drawn of the first hunt at Prophetstown. Anyone know anything about it? I talked to someone from the DNR about it at the state fair. He was telling Prophetstown is going to be difficult to manage the herd down to the ratio they want. The area has a lot of prairie, and not a lot of woods; therefore, its going to be difficult to get firearm hunters in and have them safe distances from each other. He also informed me they are considering making it an archery only hunt in the future to be able to get more hunters in.
