They absolutely don't give you anything, especiallt 100'. Someone owns that land, every inch of it. If your leasing it, it's your responsibility to know what your paying for. I wouldn't expect the CO to know where your lines are either. Normally, it takes a survey. I'd go back to the landowner and see what they say or you might contact the landowner of the Illinois land and see if they know.

The old usgs quad maps should get you within a 100 feet or so if you know how to read contours. Otherwise, the owner would need a registered land surveyor to survey his property lines.

I deleted it...I ain't opening that can of worms..People don;t want to read what's there, they invent crap and I deleted it..I was asking about the State line that runs through my lease and is that line 10 yards wide, 15 yards wide, pencil lead wide etc..Obviously you need one tag to hunt one State and another to hunt the adjoining...To draw a line through the woods is hard to do, and how wide is the line?...That's was basically my question..

I think it would be equally hard for a CO to know and prove exactly were the state line is thru a property. And in court (if you got a ticket) I believe a jury would side with a man that might have made a mistake in the middle of the woods about were the state property line is. as long as it was less than 100yds.

Do you carry two tags for the scenario of shooting it in Indiana and having it run to Illinois, or vice versa?
