I just mixed up a double batch of this to see if it works...Homemade Scent Killer Recipe - 1 used/clean plastic milk jug - 1 large mixing bowl - 16 oz. (2 cups) Peroxide (3%) - 16 oz. (2 cups) Distilled Water - ¼ cup baking soda - 1 oz. unscented shampoo (Hunter’s shampoo) - 1 spray bottle Mix the peroxide, distilled water, baking soda, and shampoo in a large mixing bowl until baking soda dissolves, then pour the mixture into the milk jug and let sit. After letting the milk jug sit for a few days, pour some into the spray bottle and use as needed. • Pressure will build up in the milk jug. Make sure you do not tighten the cap all the way allowing the pressure to escape.

Test it on a halved onion. If it covers that smell, it should work.

Test it on a halved onion. If it covers that smell, it should work. It has to "ferment" a couple days first..

This about the same recipe that you can use on your favorite furry companion after they have a run in with Mr. Skunk. It works, trust me I learned the hard way!

That's too much shampoo. I learned that the hard way a couple of years ago when Dad and I were hog hunting in SC- the last day it was raining pretty much all day and I had used essentially the same recipe (is that the one from F&S?). By the time I had been out in the rain for about an hour, the scent-free soap that I had used in the brew was starting to lather up on my head! I think the only reason the recipe calls for shampoo/soap is as a "wetting" agent- it breaks down the surface tension. I think just a couple of drops would be more than adequate in the mixture to serve the purpose.

Well, when you are unable to take a shower for 2-3 days, you gotta do what you gotta do. ;D
I had cut a bunch of the shop towels (the blue ones) in half and put them into a ziplock back with the solution in it to use as wipes too.
