I have seen on here some of you hunt in Kentucky.I will be moving there soon and am trying to find out if i will be able to get a hunting license immediatly or is there a time period before i will be a resident. also i read that kentucky landowners there family and farm hands living on that property can hunt on there land without a license is that true.how soon i move depends on these answers. inherited 30 acres

You have to live in the state 6 months, and no iam a landowner and i have to buy a license, although i live in Indiana to, so iam not sure if you live there and owne the land.

You do have to establish legal residency in order to hunt with a residence license. I own 60 acres in Kentucky and still have to buy an out of state license to hunt my own property! I hate that, but what can you do?

I have a non-resident tag for Kentucky and I'm thinking about heading down that way here in a week or so....Big Bicks and the rut....The ole ladies gonna kill me , she doesn't know I 'm going to yet another State chasing whitetails this year..BLAAAHAHAHABLAAAHAHAHA.....She'll get over it......maybe
