Alright guys, I need the good, bad, and ugly on arrow rests. I have been shooting wisker busicuts for the past 5 years with no propblems but this year I can only attribute the poor shooting to the rest What to avoid, what to really look hard at, I want any and all experience. I am leaning towards a QUAD Fallaway but before I drop some cash or cabelas points I want to make sure I am getting a good rest. Has anyone had fallaway type rest fail, do funky things. I really don't know squat about them. I almost want to go back to TM Hunter rest and leave it at that. Those were fairly consistent but I hated it when I would drop an arrow out of the stand! Thanks, Duff

I've been using the QAD Ultra since spring 2005 and have not had a single problem. Highly recommend it.

Good. I typed QAD first and thought it didn't look right. Thanks for the report.

Shot a QAD fall away for a year and couldn't get it paper tuned. Went to the local archery shop and he said my arrow was hitting my rest before it could fall away. I switched to a Rip Cord and immediately was able to shoot a clean hole through the paper. I'd recommend a Rip Cord.

I switched to the Biscuit this year early, From a Drop away and iam totaly happy with the Biscuit, Now i never shot with the QAD rest, But it looks to be a soild rest, I just felt i would give the Biscuit a try, But iam always trying new things out. I think there are so many new things out now days, its all what you like and can afford, an preforms well, So far the Biscuit is preforming well.

I feel like I am 10 yrs behind the curve anyways. I just started shooting carbon arrows last season. If something works for me I stick with it. No reason jacking with it. I have had lots of luck with a WB but my grouping has become very inconsistent and I am getting tired of the jacked up fletchings. Basically I lost confidence in it so the WB has to go. I am going to take the bow in for a complete overhaul after the season to get it ready for next season. Not going to jump into anything but just looking for real hunter experiences. Like I said I might go back to the TM Hunter set up I used before the WB.
I really appreciate all the feedback. Thanks, Duff

Theres alot of Stuff out there anymore, Iam kinda in the same boat but with my sights, I have a SpottHog on the shelf in the Garage, That i might go back to, Or maybe something else, Iam useing a Pendulium Sight now, te only draw back is its good out to 35 yards, which is pretty far in the woods. I dont know just have some money burning a whole in my pocket kinda, and want to test the waters, that or a new Scope for my 243 Savage. Us Hunters always wanting something at least me

I think the effectiveness of various drop away rests varies greatly from setup to setup. BTW, I have had good luck with the biscuit for hunting but to tweak the best accuracy from a setup, a drop away is hard to beat. I installed a very basic cobra drop-away rest this year and had fantastic results.

Trophy Taker, Shaky Hunter....great rest...tried many others. Rip cord is similar and a good rest too.

I shoot the G5 Expert fall away rest and I have had no problems with it at all. I have also heard good things about the QAD rest.
