Well after two days of not much action i headed back out tonight. This time i had my 11 year old daughter in tow. She is not comfortable shooting yet. This was her first time ever on stand. We were set up in a two man stand, got set up about 4, action was slow saw nothing at all until about 520, i look to my left, less than 10yds away stands a buck. I whispered to my daughter, "shooter buck dont move" he stood there for a few seconds looking at us then turned broadside took a couple steps and got behind a tree which gave me time to grab the gun stand and turn. Shot him at 8 yds he ran about 70yds and piled up. Awesome moment my daughter was shaking so bad. Glad she was strapped in i think she might have fallen out. SO we naturally high fived and huggged about 10 times. Great hunt probably my most memorable. I told her now its her turn to shoot. Main frame 8 with one sticker point, dressed 195

That's what it's all about. Hopefully she'll get hooked as well. Great job (on the deer & having the daughter along for the ride).

Nice, I doubt I will ever get my daugther in the field but that's okay. She hangs out with my wife while I have my son out. She was telling the people at the butcher the other night not to kill deer.
