I can understand you were aggravated and inconvenienced. But Archers has the right to take muslim customers, just like any business. America is founded on the belief that its CITIZENS should be free from religious persecution, among other things. When archers chose to accept this job, they knew that the business would be closed to accepting deer, and they knew the risk that this would potentially off other customers. Still they chose to accept the job, that's their right. At a minimum, Archers should have posted a sign in advance to let folks know they would not be accepting deer that day. In America it is also the customer's right to bring his business elsewhere, if the business does not offer good service. If you feel strongly, then go ahead and use someone else.

When I read the post, I thought it was about ceremonially butchering goats for meat. If it was just sacrificing as part of a ceremony, that is a little wierd. But for all we know, the business really put it to them as far as the fee for the facility. Maybe they made more that day then they'd make in a week otherwise? Whatever, businesses are free to accept business from anyone. Customers can make their own choices too.

16 yrs ago or so I took a deer to Archers and they had goats in the back then, so this isnt anything new. I quit going when I realized that you don't get "your" deer back when it's done. They lump it all together and it usually taste pretty bad from there. Vectrix
