I've always experimented in 5 grain increments to find what my muzzle loaders liked. More isn't always better. I've got a knight wolverine that shoots a 240 gr. xtp best with 90 grains of pyrodex.
My son & I have identical CVA mountain rifles that require different loads for best accuracy.
Good luck finding that right load.

more powder will just make it worse. You're shooting such a light bullet, you probably need to go lower.

I can't seem to find my Bobcat manual, IIRC I thought the max load was 100 grains of 2f Blackpowder. What type of bullet are you using? Type of power? Bobcat's have a 1:48 twist rate which I found doesn't work well with Sabots.
OK just found the manual. 100 Grains for 2F Blackpowder is the Max Recommend Load.

You didn't state what powder you were shooting, but 75 grains of Triple Seven and a 300 grain bullet in a sabot is usually a pretty good load for the side hammers. My Renegade shoots a 270 grain Speer Golddot better than I can aim with open sights using 75 grains of TS.

I tried a jug of JS Gold and couldn't get it to shoot accurately in my rifles, get a jug of 777.

Been using JS Gold for the last 4 season without any problems or concerns in my CVA Optima Magnum, this year using 150 grains JS Gold and Hornady TXP 240 grain bullets.....deadly.

JS Gold is junk. I couldn't get it to pattern out of my gun either, whe I bought a can of 777 it was a tack driver.

ok my dad got some 50 grain pelletts for the inline can you sue them for the sidelock?

Sorry but pellets won't work in sidelock. The only way is to put about 20 grains loose powder as a starter charge and put in one 50 grain pellet. But if you are going to use loose powder why even bother with pellets.

Try 70 / 75 grains and a .490 round ball with .015/.016 lubed patches. Works great in my son's old CVA. It is a pre-bobcat but the barrel is the same. Also try running a damp patch down the bore between shots. You might check the barrel fit for slop, with the breech set-up slop will kill accuracy.
