last year was my first year of getting serious about shed hunting. I really enjoyed it and found several including a nice 5 point shed from what I believe is the buck Ive been hunting this year.

Look at fence crossings and ditches where the bucks have to jump. Sometimes the loose antler becomes dislodged with the jump.

Woodmaster found the shed off this big 8 that he killed AFTER he had killed it. He found it the next spring while turkey scouting. It had laid covered up with leaves a full year. No critter damage either.

What a rack Tiffany has.. ;D
Any farmer can tell you that many an antler has punctured their tractor tires while working their cut corn field in spring getting ready to plant...

The year I shot this buck he scored 154", The previous years sheds score 161". I also have 3 other sheds from this deer and 3 years worth of live pics. of him. Can't wait to get him back. I am going to have his sheds mounted the exact same pose just turned left instead of right. They should llook like twins staring at each other.

Speaking of sheds, I saw a buck last weekend that I am fairly certain had already shed one side of his rack. It is possible that it was simply broken but if that was the case then had to have been broken right at the base. It was a very young buck too.
