My Dad's buck. Still in Velvet!

Thought you all would like to see this deer.

It's not monster by any means. But he was meat hunting.

It's certainly unique.

It came in leading 3 does right at dark last night.

We figure it had some hormone issues. He didn't think to check to see what sort of parts it had when he was gutting it. I'm guessing it had a penis and testicles because he surely would have noticed a lack of those it being a buck and all. I'm not sure if it had any female organs. I guess he was on autopilot.

I'd be interested to hear some thoughts?

The mule deer I shot in Wyoming was still in velvet. The velvet was all dried up but still intact. They call them cactus bucks.
He only had one very small testicle about the size of a lima bean.

Weird! I shot a buck a few years ago that had a deformed, hung down along his face, club like antler that was still in velvet. I figured he got hit by a car as one of his hind legs was full of yellow puss.

Nice deer. I had a supervisor once that had the same problem.

Your dad should have looked while dressing, that thing looks exactly like a doe - look at that long skinny snout.

My dad (vectrix) has one the same way.
