this is 1 of my areas..my house is just off the map to the south..16 doe out there right now..everynight and morning..deer heaven and NO HUNTING..have seen them to the north of my area but they come running up the revene and to the north to the woods..12 ptr out there now wife says..rrrrr..i usually stand on the fence line with about 3 foot of woods there..on the tip of north east..i dont no if he feeds them or not but every morning and night there there..10 to 20..IDEAS TO GET THEM IN MY AREA..i no its crazy, but they dont ever[ a couple of tracks} go in my area..my area is plowed..both other fields is cut beans..VERY FRUSTRATING SEEING THEM AND ALL I WANT IS 1.......HELP.. there behind my house and i have to get in my truck and drive to go hunting cause never any luck there..even help 4 next year Attachments:

ohh ya the woods south of the red is a revene with a creek..prob 250 ft down..its a nice drop off and very thick

I would probably try to buy that Treeline just North of your property or I would be planting me a treeline from east to west somewhere between those two blocks of timber.

You might try a food plot on your property and add a tripod type stand. If I read this correctly your property was plowed/disked. You have no food and no cover. You need to at least provide food. Past that you might try to lease that property.

Have you tried setting up a ground blind on your side of the fencerow to the north? I'm sure they follow it, at least sometimes, going from woods to woods. Or if you get real desperate, you could even dig a pit blind along that same fencerow. Good luck!

dont have anything there..im always watching that place and the guy who lives in the house on thewest side..u just dont see them there..houses to the south and the west..they just dont go that way..there r some buetiful deer back there....maybe some food plot mix next year..get them going over there

I got a buddy that bought 27 acres mainly woods and ther were deer there he asked the neighbor if he couls hunt his property also and the guy said no he liked seein the deer and didnt want him to be killin them later that yr b4 hunting season he did a lot of scouting and started to see less and less signs and tracks now his property virtually holds no deer ! the property adjoinin his has deer all over it but he cant get deer to come over the property line to his woods, to come to find out the neighbor put out moth balls all over the property lines and the deer no longer cross to the buddy of mines property !!!! Hope nothing like that has happened to u !

Deer are going to be where they have heavy cover for shelter, food and water regardless if someone puts moth balls down or not. Moth balls are not some magic fence for deer. May I suggest you do some major hiking over every foot of your hunting area and find a junction with many trails and hunt downwind of that junction. Major emphasis on getting to and from the stand without disturbing deer.

hurt my back 2 day and didinr go out figures..20 in reagular place but 3 little does did make it down my way..still think the guy feeds them..14 ptr out there..should of said heck with my back..had the kids drag it

Extend your porch to the edge of your property line then shoot one from your porch.

That's what kids are for! I played beagle, cleaned tons of squirrels and fileted a lot of fish for my pops, and was happy to be part of it any way I could. ;d

I'd take that big "Deer Heaven" sign out of that guys field and put it in MINE....or maybe make a BIGGER one  But seriously, good advice above....give them a reason to come over and check your area out. A doe decoy might lure a buck if the time is right... hey it works for ducks !! |
