Lake Webster by Syracuse, is one of the premier musky lakes in the country. Yep, Webster is a great muskie lake. We try to hit it a couple of times every year.

I'm not sure on the boat rental, but I think that there is. As far as shore fishing, there is not much available there. The lake is surrounded by privately owned cabins and homes.

Find Bruce Lake in Fulton County - a friend of mine from Chicago fishes the tournament trail - he goes down there for fun and says it has plenty of 40"+ muskies. Don't let the appearance fool you - it has almost no vegetation, murky water and a poor reputation for bass and bluegill. Looks like hell. Not well known as a muskie lake but it has some whopper muskies if you are patient.

Hudson Lake has pike, the Tippy chain used to have pike but with them stocking musky in there not sure if the pike still exist there or not. The St. Joe and Elkhart River are supposed to have some good pike. There are some around for sure. Good luck.

The Kankakee river, just find any feeder ditch in the early spring. Use a bobber and a 3'' minnow. One popular area is on SR 8 just west of SR 39 or the English Lake boat ramp area.
