Just kind of curious. Pick one answer from 1~6, and one from 7~8. Thanks for voting!

3 seems to be perfect for me. I run out a month or two before bow season starts so I am good and ready for a new supply.

Two is plenty for us and family etc.. If I happen to get another it gets donated. The older I get the more rare that third deer gets to be. I'm thinking of cutting back to just horn hunting and forget the one doe for eating purposes and just stick with one buck for sausage purposes. I'm really to the point I don't even care if I kill anything at all I'm just really thankful for the opportunity but it would be hard to pass up a big ole mature buck.

1 is plenty for me, my family quit eating venison a few years ago. I usually give what I'm not going to eat to friends that don't hunt but like it.

I usually eat 3.
I give morethan that to hunting buddies that want more. Sometimes, Like THIS year... I share before I get to 3. It all depends on how my buddies are doing. Many of my crew had an off year this year.

Could not kill enough to feed my family of 5 for the year. We cut them up ourselves and eat it until it's gone.

We went through three last year, but now the kids are getting a little bigger and they seem to like venison, so we may need more this year. I have three in the freezer right now, but I know a fourth would not go to waste.

Put 5 in the freezer this year, and donated 2 others to FHFH.

I normally harvest two Deer per season and we have about 1/2 Deer left in the freezer by the next season.

5+ deer every season easy.
The only actual "steaks" we ever eat are the T-loins and backstraps.
The rest I make into Summer Sausage, Chubbies, Snack Sticks, Breakfast sausage and maybe 10 pounds of ground. By August I'm OUT!
Anybody got an extra deer ;D

well i am the oldest of six kids so we would need about 10 or 12 to feed our family but we of course never get that many. but we raise sheep and cattle so we got plenty. if any one wants to buy lamb this time of year next year give me a pm and i will tell my dad we live close to south bend.

We handle 3 easy with just the loins, back straps and ground. I like to add one more for jerkey and sausage, then like to donate at least 1 to the hungry program.

My wife and I usually can use one adult deer or 2 young deer a year. My son and his 3 kids eat about 5 per year and most is ground into burger. My son in law uses about the same as I do . My Wisconsin son and his family will eat about 4 or 5 deer, a bunch of fish, ducks, geese etc. I was raised on wild game, and so were my kids. The most deer we ever had in one year was 6 and we didn't waste any.

Our deer consumption has went down since I started hunting. Now two is usually plenty for me and the wife and still give some to the grand kids. Hamburger, loins and back straps only. If I want steak I go to the store and buy it. We are usually down to a few packages of burger by the start of archery. Then during firearm and Ml the freezer gets it a couple of does and all is good.
