4 deer was the most ,at one time I saw this year ,I think it was the second day of bow season..2009 this is about average for HCF, where I hunt. Back around 1998 I remember seeing as many as 28, out of the same tree.2 to 4 hour period. ( hunting ) Back in September we saw 8 bucks and 4 does on top the ridge from where I hunt. This about normal ,High? Low? for your hunting area?

Low. My partner says I ran 15 does off a hill we were driving in one group. And I saw 15 does in a field right there just this past sat night.
I saw several groups of 7 or so.
I saw 5 bucks all chasing the same doe on 11-15 this year.
I'd say sightings were a little off the norm for me.

I rarely see over 10 and most of those are seen while going and coming from the stand site.

I saw 9 Saturday evening. That was about two hundred yards from the spot where my dad shot 8 the second Saturday of gun season.

I had the prefect setup where I've been hunting, except not seeing very many deer. Water and food to the west of me, Me in a giant cedar tree in the bottoms (Cut out a couple limbs to hang my Summit in it, concels almost all of my movement and great for covering scent.) and a clear cut about 400 yards to my east, for a bedding area. Plus a natural funnel 50 feet cliffs on each side of me about 75 yards wide. (only place to get up the ridge for about 1/2 mile.) I've killed 5 bucks out of this tree in the last 7 years. Son-n-law has killed 6. Its hard to get to and dont get a lot of pressure (though I had some trouble this year) The deodorant deal and thieves. If I have that kind of trouble next year I'll just have to find a new place.

Seen at one time? Or seen during the course of a days hunt?
At one time ..... 13. Evening hunt where I could see a greener-than-normal beanfield.
Course of a hunt .... 26. Same day as above but a combination of a that morning and that evenings hunt.

saw five does together one evening, four the second hunt from that same stand....there are three left. That's the most I have seen at once in the areas I hunt.

This is not exactly what you asked, but one time I drove from Monticello to Fort Wayne and counted over 100 deer.
In the woods about 15

I'd say high teens for deer seen during a stand sit, about 6 hours total. As far as deer together in a group, I saw 6 2 Sundays ago. Shot a nice doe from that group.
