This was one of the coldest mornings I've hunted in a long time. I've been in the pheasant fields 7 of the last 8 days but it goes a little better when walking and it was a little warmer last week. My hunting buddies (whitetail1 and whitetailchaser22) and I saw zero deer and it was 0 degrees as we walked to the stands. However, the woods (with some snow cover) and the sunrise were beautiful. It's always a bit sad to close out the last day but it's been a good season. Anybody out there do any good?

I sat last night for one last time. Same place I shot a doe last year on the last day with only a few minutes left. This year was different. 0 deer showed up.

Actually at the Refuge it is packed on Christmas day in the afternoon. There are more people out there that day than on a weekend.

I've had a chest cold for over a week now (seeing the doc tomorrow) and just could not bring myself to going out in teen temperature weather.
