Just got back in from about 1 1/2 hours on snowshoes (I really need a set of my own that are big enough- I'm using my wife's!) looking for sheds.
Found a lot of coyote, grouse, rabbit and squirrel tracks, but no antlers of any sort. I was a bit limited on time though.

I found my first one the other day. It is chewed up pretty bad. It is at least 2 years old. My son found the matching side last year.

Went out the last day of late archery. As I was guiding my buddy towards my hot spot he looked down and found a antler, then he noticed it was beside a rub. then he seen the other one laying on the other side of the rub. So ya'll think shedding antlers might itch kinda like peeling sunburned skin?

I finally got some time to get out today. Man did it feel good to just be out in the woods! I found half of a 6PT, I stopped to survey all the tracks & trails and when I looked down at my feet...

Kinda. An old hunting buddy E-mailed me this pic last night. He's in Kansas spending time with his daughters family and found this while shed hunting.

Found 2 yesterday, one on a a trail and the other in a winter wheat field. Both off nice bucks. Half an eight that would have been in the 130's and half a ten that would have been upper 140's. Someone else had already been through the area prior to me getting there, as evidenced by their tire tracks. I always find 4 or 6 in the winter wheat field.

....i wonder why he's grinning? He's taken some big deer but I think he's prouder of this find than any he's shot. The tag was issued by a C.O. and must stay on the deer as long as it is in the state of Kansas.

Found two more today. A real nice shed with forked G-3, and a small half of an eight point.
