Other than it's cool to find them and the knowledge that this buck survived long enough to drop his rack, is there a market for them that I am unaware of? Do they have a value?

Do they have a value? there was a lady at the deer show last weekend selling antler pieces not whole antlers just like 3"-4" pieces for $10 a pop as chew toys for dogs! when I told her I find my own and my dogs love em she offered to buy some off of me.

Pretty big market I would say. Just google "antlers for sale" or another interesting one is the Jackson Hole antler auction. As I understand it they are normally sold by the pound unless they are like a unique and or large matching set which really drives up the $$.

One dollars a inch on anything OVER 65 inches, per one side...Anything smaller is sold by the pound.

"$20 a pound"... "a dollar an inch"...where are you selling? Is there a buyer that you deal with? Do you package and send them off to a buyer? Has anyone on this forum ever actually sold any? Inquiring minds want to know. Thanks, I'm just trying to determine if a market actually exists for sheds as I have a collection too.

If you know where a fur buyer or root buyer is they buy antlers or would know of a person who does. I've never sold any but there is a market.

Go to Ebay.com and type in whitetail deer antlers and you can see what people will pay for them. If they are big sheds people will pay good money. I thought about selling some of mine before but hate to part with them.
