I am in the market for a safety harness but not sure which one to get.
I am leaning towards the Trophyline Armourlite Safety Harness. Anyone have any experiences with this particular safety harness? I like the idea of a seat built in that would allow you to loosen the leg loops while hanging from the tree.
Please give me your thoughts and experiences good and bad on safety harnesses...TIA

I'm assuming that freebie is a lineman's belt, great deal only problem is wrong size for me. So you think the trophyline harness is a good quality harness?

What size do you need? I can check and see if we have the size you need if you want?

What size do you need? I can check and see if we have the size you need if you want? I would be the L/XL as I understand their sizing. I weigh 180lbs. I just realized that ebay page is your listing...correct? Does that also come with the tree belt, bow cam cradle and decelerator pack? Thanks for checking Decatur!

I currently use a first generation HSS that I purchased when they first came out. At the deer and turkey expo this year I looked at the new Muddy Outdoor harness and they are very nice. I am switching to one this year, you may look at those; $110 for the black I think.

Don't know for sure what HSS recommends but I haven't ran across a climbing/safety/arborist harness yet that wasn't supposed be replaced AT LEAST every five years...some manufacturers are even down the every three years!!! Any kind of nylon, etc degrades in sunlight and soiling/dirt/petroleum/heat will greatly decrease the life of the material. How many of you keep your harness stored CLEAN, dry, cool and in the dark??? Something to keep in mind the next time you think you can use that safety harness "just one more season" Vectrix-I'm not picking on you just trying to get everyone to realize that a LIFE PROTECTION safety harness is only as good as the care that is given to it along with following the manufacturer's listing.for replacement. I just spent ALL of last night at Climbtime Towers watching over a dozen "kids" put their climbing harnesses into every kind of fall and swing that they would typically not experience-things that most of the hunting population will hopefully never have to experience but really wish hunters would have a chance to do so that they could really appreciate just what having real "safety harness" would actually do. If anyone wants a facebook link pm me and I'm sure we'll have some videos up...

Time for something new.

My Son and I both use the Hunter Safety Vest. I had a less expensive (aka: cheaper) vest which worked fine, but one morning while getting geared up in the dark we couldn't get the straps untangled. I spent at least 20 minutes trying to get the thing on and still had the straps wrong. Annoyed me to no end. I bought the Hunter Safety Vest the next day and have no regrets or problems with it. Like most things in life - you get what you pay for!
