not sure what i beleive, but there are some strange happenings. i keep up with it loosley but here's what i have gathered. i dont know if any of this is true, but usually even in rumor there is a sliver of truth
there have been a few times he or his wife has slipped and said his home country of kenya.could be nothing, but its not been a one time slip of the toungue. apparently he was accused of being foreign born during a state senate race and his reply was "so what its not like i'm running for president" like most evidence in this case, the video has disapeared
he has NOT presented a birth certificate, but a certificate of live birth, which is somehow different and easier to obtain. if memory serves me right these are issued commonly to a citizen parent who has a child while out of the country. John mc cain (born in panama) would still have an actual birth certificate as he was born out of the country, but on US land (military base)
he went to school in indonesia for a short time, which was only open to indonesian citiezens and at the time dual citezenship for indonesia and the US was not an option until a few years after he had been in school
a copy of a birth certificate cost 12.50 or something like that from the state of hawaii, and would make all of this go away, yet the administration has spent hundreds of times more than that in court fighting these accusations.

There is nothing to clear up. He satisfied all the requirements to become president .... end of story. He is ignoring the nuts ..... I would too. actually i think this is the biggest problem, there are requirements, but no one is appointed to verify them. i find it suprising the founders didnt allow a process for presidential requirements AND verification

You make all good points bradley300. The only requirements that he actually had this last Presidential election was the democrats voted him in. It may be a moot point on requirements. I think a certificate of birth is different. Its amazing to me how people don't keep an open mind. These are the type that get swindled by the Bernie Maddoff types. Of course I think there are many in this country who really don't care whether he is an US born citizen. He might be US born but tne issue could be resolved.

Here is a link to discussion of a Birth Certificate and a Certificate of Live Birth. I don't know how much credibility you can give to Wikipedia. Particularly look at Long and Short forms. It sounds to me like a certificate of live birth is a document that says that the Actual Birth Certicate exists and it in possession of the Hospital. It sounds like the Birth Certificate has the signature of the Doctor on it, but the Live Birth certificate does not require it. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Birth_certificate
