ok i have a 50 cal cva buck horn . i wanna mount a scope on it but have it raised so i can use the sights too.it has the holes in barrel but it not ribbed can even have a scope mounted high ? can you give recomendation on a scope under $50. thanks

After taking a quick look I can't. If wasn't prepared to put more than that in a scope I would just shoot it with the Illuminator sights that come on it.

I'm sure there are see-through mounts for that gun, but I don't recommend them. Also, I'm sure you can find a scope for $50 or so, but I can't really recommend them either, as they might be worth their price, which is not much. You might luck out though. Try Natchez Shooting Supply, the have some Simmons fixed power 4x32 "8-Point" scopes on sale for $15. You almost have to buy that just to see if it will hold up.

I've used some of the cheaper Bushnell scopes with no problems. But not on anything with much recoil.
