in washington they have a thing where if a farmer has over say 300 acres maybey more. he can apply to get tags that he can pick who get them and distribute them at normal tag prices. they get a certain number of anterless and buck and either sex tags. and they can pick or have a drawing on who get them and the dnr picks out farmers with lots of acreage. that would help out alot with the private land deer

If we can get more landowners to apply & qualify ($500.00 damage) for DDC Permits it could be a possible end-around the OBR & 9 day gun season garbage.

I'd like it if the IDNR could create a list of landowners that qualify for depredation permits, so interested hunters could approach the owners and ask permission to hunt with their own tags, depredation tags, or both.
If landowners are just given tags to distribute, I won't have a chance at any because I don't know any owners. That's probably the case for a lot of hunters. I did sign up again for hunters helping farmers, but no calls so far.
