We covered right at 100 miles of green, blue, & red trails in 2-1/2 days of riding in the rain & sun. The main trails are marked fairly well. Caution! Trail maintenance is lacking & the trail condition ratings have changed quite a bit throughout the Brimstone property lease. Make sure someone in your group has a winch on their ATV/UTV & do not ride alone. Pay attention to where you walk as the area has a good population of Copperheads & Rattlesnakes. We had one close encounter with a 3' Copperhead during one of our rest breaks. The 300+ miles of trails requires a compass & a Brimstone map. The Brimstone folks have developed a bit of arrogance & lack of full-disclosure when it comes to cabin rentals. Some of the local folks are very nice & some do not care for having visiting riders in their county. The scenery is beautiful & the terrain is rugged. All in all we had a good time but we probably will not go back. Two of the guys in our group have been to the Hatfield & McCoy Trail System (West Virginia) before and said the H & M folks are much easier to deal with & appreciative of your business.
