Hello.
I would love to hunt Fort Harrison State Park on Nov 28 or 29 if anyone has a spot open. I would be willing to pay a bit for the chance.
Thanks. Mike

State park hunts are NOT buddy hunts......you have to get drawn to hunt and they DO NOT conduct a no show draw like Big Oaks.
Just FYI

Actually 3 or so of the Parks allow for no show drawings each morning of the hunts. The dnr sent an email out about this.

I work over at DFAS so no big deal if they don't do drawings or I don't get selected, I can just go to work.
Again, thanks for the info.

I am a newby to hunting so I am still learning and googling the crap out of hunting. So here is the question that I am seeing conflicting results on. Do deer move while it is raining or do they just bed down until favorable conditions?
Thanks. Mike

I doubt you will have any problem getting in at the no show. Last hunt the drawing was at the Garrison parking lot . About 25 guys showed up for 100 spots. Be there about 8.
