It is impossible for a typical 8 to score that high. It's rare for them to even make book.

Virtually impossible as an eight.... but worth a look see anyhow.
Hanson's buck is 213. BTW, many deer have been killed that are a good bit larger, but asymmetry and non-typical points always take them down in net score. Hanson's buck is a superfreak because it is not only huge but nearly perfect.

He might be saying 8 points on one side? Everyone I know west of the Mississippi says the point from one side, people in Indiana are just weird

I remember years ago NAW magazine did a feature of what was at the time the largest eights...all 180 class deer. I remember being really impressed!

Would be a short list I would think. There is a net B&C 8 at a taxi in knox county....found dead several years ago.
Not many 8's over 180.

As I recall, there were three.....all of course absurdly large, but one stuck in my memory. It had so much mass, each antler looked like three big fingers sticking up.

Great deer but no where near any world record anything sorry but the only way that buck will see 200 inches of antler is to start glueing another whole antler to it .lol
