Nice. I figure that I'll have some showing up on the trail cam here in the next few weeks.

Mowed my clover plot's last night. (Probably 12" tall. ) Cut down to around 6', anyway's went pretty slow so I could watch out for fawn's and sure enough 1st plot right smack dab in the middle of it I see a fawn pop it's head up right underneath the tractor. Got stopped and got down just as it stand's up and stagger's off into the wood's. Close call but no harm to fawn. (Hard to see them in the clover with those spot's.) Rest of plot's I did a walk through before mowing. Didn't see anymore. So be careful and keep an eye out for the little one's.

I was out in the woods last weekend and saw a couple spots where it looked like something had bedded down. Looked at the closer and saw very small hoof prints.

yesterday evening we went back in my woods to take advantage of the cool temps and get some work done. We rode my 4 wheeler back to my food plot and was cleaning up some tops the logger dropped. We is my girlfriend, her ankle biter dog and myself. We worked on one top for about 45 min with a chainsaw running and at times an ax. I walked past to another brush pile maybe 10 yards from the one we were piling limbs on and threw one small branch on it. A fawn jumped up out of it and ran off. I couldnt believe it laid there that long. The branch I threw on it didnt land anywhere close to it but the little bugger had had enough I guess! Thats the second Fawn Ive had a close encounter with in my 30 acres this year and my 3rd total in less than a month. I obviously dont know if the 2 in my woods was the same one but they were on opposite ends of my land.

Got another picture of a fawn, good chance it's the same one I got early in June, (our fence is hard for small babies to navigate) so about a month old. Attachments:
