Colt1888, I also Hunt Cass Co, But I am hunting up towards the Northern part of the Co. At first It seemed that The Deer Numbers were way down till later on in Oct and November, I have seen More Bucks in the 1 woods I hunt I would Guess That I have seen 8 different Buck and Of all of them Only 1 would I have shot. Started to see more Does towards the Last Part of Gun, and usally this woods in pretty equal of Bucks and Does, I would Have to say that EHD can effect small section of a Co and Have nothing wrong in another Part of the Same Co. I have yet to fill My Buck Tag, I need to quit being so Locked on a Set of Big Horns.

It's isolated pockets that have been affected..like Woody said, it can have an affect on one corner of the county and 5 miles away things are normal...I personally had a great yr and never seen any EHD affected deer..my area are doing great and we all seen plenty of deer this yr... I hope for your sake, it doesn't ever happen in your area. It did happen a few years ago , not to a great extent but even this yr I know of a farm 10 miles from me that found 12 deer dead..like I said isolated pockets..I found one dead deer this yr...that's it...but a normal yr of hunting no big decline in numbers
