So about a year and a half ago I set off to build my first ar15. I went to my local gun shop(lgs) and made my first purchase, Stag Arms stripped lower Shortly after I picked up a lower parts kit, buffer tube and stock I then had used up most of my funds so I had to start saving money again. Right about the time I had enough money saved up, the sandy hook shooting happened and all the ar prices went through the roof. I waited paitently and a couple months ago an upper I wanted came up for sale for a price I was willing to pay. Rock River Arms 20" SS chambered in .223 wylde. I also picked up some 45 degree offset sights since I had plans to scope it. I sold a truck I had sitting in the back yard which opened up even more funds. I ordered a model 1 free float tube, bipod, vortex crossfire II 4-12x50 scope, and burris P.E.P.R mount. I hope to take it out sometime this week and see how she shoots. I can't wait!!!

It's very addictive, to say the least. Congrats on a fine build.
I picked up a stripped Noveske Gen 2 lower last week to build into a suppressed 300 BLK pistol for deer season. I've already got the lower completed and the barrel taken care of. Just waiting for spare funds to purchase an upper receiver and rail. My wife bought a stripped Noveske Gen 1 lower today to build into her second rifle -- her first is a factory Colt LE6920.

So I had a chance get some shooting in this evening. Boy oh boy was it hot outside. I have never been a long distance shooter. The farthest I have ever shot was at 150 yards with a shotgun. After getting it sighted in at 25 and 100 yards I moved out to 200 yards. My first group was the tightest of the three. I almost couldn't believe my eyes when I saw that one. I shot another 3 round group at 200 then went out to 300 and shot another 3 round group. I am pretty pleased considering I have less than 40 rounds through the gun, and was shooting cheap PMC ammo. I definitely need to upgrade the trigger though.

Very nice gun. I have a 5.56 w/a 24" Bull Barrel, and have yet to shoot a 200 yard group like that first one.
