I agree with Pence's statement 100%.
The first and most important job of the national government is to secure our borders against foreign invasion. If the federal government fails in that capacity, all else is lost.
I have absolutely no animosity for legal immigrants. We have five in our extended family, and they are all loved and respected members of the family, especially my daughter-in-law from Thailand, who won our hearts immediately and continues to after more than a decade.
But there IS a need for restricting the numbers to an amount that can be absorbed without creating the same economic need and political turmoil that so many of the refugees are fleeing.
I fully support any governor who stands up to the federal disregard for the states and imports and "legalizes" illegals while placing them within states that do not welcome their arrival.
I disagree with Governor Pence on several issues, but I think ke's entirely correct in his stance on having illegals crammed into our state by the feds, and for them to do so without even the courtesy of notifying the state of their intent is insulting and another clear example of King Barry's contempt for all who do not bow and scrape and immediately obey.

It's not as though HHS was going to notify him, so the fact that he first learned of it through the media the same way I did is also not surprising. The only surprise here is that the media reported it at all.
