This year, for the first time, I grew a few Habanero peppers to make some hot sauce with.
Well, I had just a small dab a few minutes ago, and they are just about as hot as I would care to put in my mouth.
I know that there are hotter varieties out there but really, a little bit of this will go a long way.
On this same note; the wife & I were in a hot pepper shop in Gatlinburg a couple of years back, and just watching all the macho young men reduced to blubbering was something to behold!

No hot for me....I do enjoy watching "men" sniffle and cry while eating hot wings though. If I wanted my food to kick my butt I'd try eating a boar while he was still alive rather than eating hot stuff......

A few years ago I grew tabasco peppers. They did very well and produced quite a few peppers. They start green and ripen to orange/red. I made a hot sauce from them that was all I could handle, and I really like hot stuff. Much much hotter than the Tabasco sauce you buy. This year I have cayenne, jalepeno and a Korean type called super chili. My tomatoes are just now ripening so looking forward to some salsa, etc.

You have to be careful handling and cooking them.

And, to put it as delicately as possible, what is ingested must be eliminated.
Something to think about also!

We had a lot of fun at work with a bottle of super hot sauce. A toothpick dipped in this stuff tore me up. BAD. We had co-workers ingest spoonfuls of the stuff even after warnings! It was hilarious..two guys got spontaneous hiccups, one guy puked, another guy kept drinking water straight from the faucet.

Now you know what inspired Johnny Cash to write "Ring of Fire", he had some chili the night before. While I love hot peppers in general, some are just unpleasantly hot like the Bhut Jalokia, also known as the Ghost Pepper. That's the kind of pepper you rub on the door handle of someone's office when they make you mad.

About a year ago the Dr. told me to include a metamucil type fiber product in my daily diet. It seems that doing so has eliminated the elimination discomforts associated with consuming peppers.
