It's a little difficult for me to wrap my head around any possibility for the simulation to be EXACT when considering anything continuing to spin after impact but.... This has some WILD technology IMO. Not a long video so not one you have to sit and wait long on. www.youtube.com/watch?v=PFF13VA3RmA&feature=youtu.beGod Bless Wild PRICE too. Min order, with shipping, comes out just under 5 bucks each for the 20 gauge 2 3/4 in the lead version.

Well, your run of the mill sabot slug will continue to spin after contact too, assuming it is shot from a rifled barrel. I wouldn't want to rely on spin contributing significantly to terminal performance though.
I did not have sound when I watched the short clip. Is this design meant to be shot from smoothbores? Do the fins at the rear have a helical orientiation? I would think they must, or they would only counteract spin imparted by rifling.
Seems like a solution to a non-existant problem, for my hunting needs anyway.

According to the advertisement it is for all barrels, all chokes, rifled or not. Definitely different, not saying there exists any advantage to it all. You are correct, the video does not have sound.
I just found it and thought it extremely different from anything I've ever seen. Made in France and I chatted via the web with a guy using them across the pond (forget which country) and they use them for wild boar.
Century Arms in Florida markets them in the US.
God Bless

It looks as if it would have good penetration but making a clean fast kill on a large animal requires the transfer of energy from the bullet to the vital organs of the animal. That is why most of the slug rounds expand when come in contact with what you are shooting. Just poking holes in them will kill but it takes a long time for the prey to bleed out & in the case of deer, they could run a long way before that happens. If it was me I would just use a rifled slug out of a smooth bore to take deer.
