My release. The same old release I have been using for each of the last 23 archery seasons. The same old, worn out velcro strapped piece of junk that has been with me through Bear, York, Pearson, Martin, Hoyt, Parker and Bow Tech bows .... the same release that helped me through the tough time of switching from right hand shooting to left hand shooting.
The one that was there for the miles upon miles hiked over 5 seasons to get my first, and only, bull elk. The one that was tight around my wrist in the 2005 archery season when I finally killed a buck that would go north of the P&Y standard for entry.
Thousands of arrows. Critters from bunnies to squirrels ... prairie chickens to turkeys .... raccoons and opossums .... mule deer, Elk and whitetail.
Missing.
Nowhere to be found.
I need to contact those milk carton folks ... put posters on telephone poles ... start a facebook plea and hope it goes viral.
Sad, sad day. I think ill just go cry.

Try offering a substantial reward.

If you love something, "release" it. If it returns to you it was destiny, if it does not, it was never meant to be.

To the man who has my release .... I don't know who you are. I don't know what you want. If you are looking for ransom, I can tell you I don't have money. But what I do have are a very particular set of skills, skills I have acquired over a very long career. Skills that make me a nightmare for people like you. If you let my release go now, that'll be the end of it. I will not look for you, I will not pursue you. But if you don't, I will look for you, I will find you, and I will kick you in the shin.

Accuse someone like your spouse of stealing it, make a complete fool out of yourself, and then it will magically appear in the most obvious place 2 hours later.
