BINGO hiking is allowed on this property, ONLY if you reserve it You have to pay to get in a state park, pay a fee to sleep in their lodges, pay a fee to camp in their campgrounds, pay a fee to swim in their pools, pay to eat in their restaurants, pay a fee to launch your boat, and pay a fee to fish in their water. Pay hunting doesn't surprise me. None of those things locks others out though. I can rent a cabin at Brown County S.P., but that doesn't keep everyone else off the public use trails, lakes, etc.

Main lodge sleeps 8 One King and 2 queen beds. There are 21 campsites too. For the full retreat, it's $500/night plus tax with a 20% refunded back to you. 3 nights minimum. www.in.gov/dnr/forestry/7422.htm

Not bad, couple hundred per each of 8 and a good location to hunt for 3 days. I had seen that property as belonging to the state but did not realize it was this one. Some great looking ground around it too. Base Camp Leasing has some of it locked up.

I spoke to lodge last year. A hunting package can be reserved. If can get 8 people to go in together not to bad. Base camp does have some of land in area locked up but that's different matter altogether.

There is a relatively new cabin built in Morgan-Monroe that is for rent. Can't find it on the Net any more, but it is on the Service road going down to Cherry Lake.
