Sitting in the blind with my son. Hoping he gets a chance at one with the crossbow, but at this point I'd like for him to just see a deer while we are out here.

Got out last night for the first time other half (that does not hunt) sat in ground blind and saw 9 one 4 pt. I sat tree stand and saw 3 had a glimpse of a nice buck and two I do not know. It was a very relaxing sit and the woods was gorgeous with all the colors. Hope to make it back out to night

1 doe so far. Buddy has seen 3 does and a spike. He also heard a buck grunting but never got a visual.

I am sitting in Ohio. It's not looking like they are going to leave the corn this morning. Might be the first time in several years that I didn't at least see a deer

It is officially on. Saw 7 buck's this morning. Spike, 6pt., small 10 pt., fork horn, a 115" 8 pt., and a 130 class 10 pt. The 10 pt bedded down at 8:45 80 yds directly in front of me. I did a seris of tending grunt's to draw him in. He looked my way when I hear something coming in from behind me. Turn around and a big bodied 115" 8 point is coming in on a string. Make's 2 scrapes and a rub 10 yds. from me. The 10 pt see's him and stands up and the 8 sees him stand up. 8 pt walks directly under me and makes a bee line towards the 10 pt. They have a 2 min stand off before heading off in different direction's away from me. Also saw 6 does and fawns. Got the 8 and 10 pt action on video. Great hunt next couple weeks should be fun.

I was out this morning early until about noon. Saw nothing but squirrels. Was getting too hot so I came home to grill some three-week old venison tenderloin and call it a day!

Saw nothing this morning. Think I'm going to rest up for cooler weather and spend some time with the family before getting serious starting next weekend.

Anyone ever tried walking QUIETLY thru standing dry beans? Not easy! Took over an hour to get 150 yards but I still made it with time to spare. Pretty morning for sure. Discovered 2 scrapes and several new rubs underneath this stand. Like walking on corn flakes...
