I stopped at my taxidermist in Boonville on the way home this morning. Dean told me this is the best early archery season that he has had in 35 years of being in the business.
He said he took in 25 big bucks in just the last two days - Saturday and Monday. He said that was more than he usually gets the entire early season.
What say ye? More and bigger bucks?

I have seen a ton of really good bucks on the Internet. Seems very few people are settling for lesser bucks these days...except me! I was proud of my little 105" 8 pointer.

Yeah, I have to agree. Just couldn't get one of them in recurve range. Hopefully that 10 shows himself this weekend.

I've never even had a shot on a nice buck during early archery. Opening day I missed one and then the 12th I connected. My dad has seen two mature bucks recently as well. For us it has been a better early season.

Have seen more big bucks this year than ever before. Don't know why, but it has just worked out that way. After shooting mine, I've seen 2 deer that are very close to the rack that he had. Definitely awesome considering last year it was a miracle to even see a DEER here in Monroe County at times.

Since moving here in Kentucky; I've seen an increase in the Deer population on my property each season. Also more Buck, some larger than a normal sized Buck, but there are some Bucks (like the one I took this rifle season) that I'd would call a "Management Buck" due to poor genes. Doe Deer are larger, here in Central Ky, than what I found in the Western part of State. When I took my Buck to the local processor, there were other successful Deer Hunters present, that had taken some of the biggest Bucks I've ever seen. One Hunter had one that had 14 points and it was a HUGE Buck, several other successful Hunters, had 8 to 12 pointers with nice wide racks. It looked like a scene out of Field & Stream Magazine!!

I've seen a lot of little spikes, forks and basket racks and I think a total of 2 bucks that might be 2.5 years old. That may just be what's in the places I'm hunting.

The "seeing" I am counting is on game camera. 2 8 pointers, 1 9 pointer, a small 7, a forky, a 3 pointer, a spike so far. The 8s look to be 2 or 3 yr olds, same age as a 8pointer my bil took from our property 2012. To the killing part, guess we will see what happens gun season. I would be happy if any of them end up in freezer.

I just dropped my buck off at taxidermist, he said this has been his best year ever. His shop looks similar to the picture Woody posted, tons of racks.
