Dr. Ben Carson, author of "One Nation: What We Can All Do to Save America's Future," argued that while Officer Darren Wilson did nothing wrong in the fatal shooting of Michael Brown, police should be better trained in non-lethal force such as shooting aggressors in the legs on Tuesday's "Hugh Hewitt Show." He specified "for instance, in a lot of places, police officers aren’t even allowed to go into the more dangerous areas by themselves. They’re always paired. Or you know, people use tasers, people learn how to shoot people in the legs to stop them from charging, things of that nature. And I seriously doubt that he’d been given that information." www.breitbart.com/Breitbart-TV/2014/11/26/Carson-Cops-Could-Be-Trained-to-Shoot-For-The-Legs/ .

Pffft. If someone came after me while I was in a vehicle I would just run them over.

He shot him in the hand and multiple shots to the arm......seems he didn't stop until a bullet hit him in the head and made him stop.

I'm pretty good with a pistol, I can pop a six inch target from 100' all day long with my 1911 .45, but I doubt that I could focus well enough to hit a human leg that was rapidly advancing toward me with a 300 lb angry man attached to it. Adrenaline does funny things to your aim, especially after tussling for your gun with someone and having it go off inches from your face. From the way it was described by the autopsies the officer was in a panic and string firing at Brown, can't blame him under the circumstances.

so the new way of detaining someone is shoot them. Save the tax payer some money and remove radios, no need for them if they aren't going to be used.
People have become so wrapped up in themselves, they lost the reason behind personal defense. It's to be used to protect yourself, but the goal isn't stopping the bad guy in his tracks, it's to protect others. How many shots did he fire and what was the environment?
Guy was much bigger so shooting him the answer? What do they do in prisons?
Whatever.
