A copy n paste from elsewhere Prayers for the loved ones of Freddy Gray, in their grief and loss. That said, the whole story should be known: "Freddy Gray had a pre-existing spinal and neck injury and had severe damage and scar tissue from an accident that Allstate Insurance was paying him a large structured settlement. Freddy had several unsuccessful spinal fusion surgeries, his most recent spinal/cervical operation was a week and a half before he was arrested. Freddy should have been at home in bed resting and recovering from recent major operation instead of manufacturing and distributing drugs on the streets and resisting arrest. Freddy has a criminal record pages long for manufacturing and distributing controlled dangerous drugs that were cocaine crack heroine etc. along with many assault charges, gun charges, breaking and entering and the list goes on since he was 18 years old. (Juvenile records are sealed.) Look at some of this on www.mdjudiciarycasesearch. You will also see where he was trying to cash in his monthly structured settlement for his spinal injury payments to one lump sum through Peachtree Funding, He could have easily fallen in the paddy wagon from the slippery bench to the floor or twisted his fused spine to reopen his recently fused damaged spine. Also, the police that arrested him were also black, not white. Why are people destroying their own homes and revenue when they don't know the whole story? Mostly because it's a good reason and timing to loot and get new shoes and stolen goods? You got it! None of the police officers that arrested Freddy had a history of police brutality. Freddy was a dangerous career felon with a damaged spine and neck that was supposed to be healing a week and a half after surgery, not running the streets committing felonies and resisting arrest."

I doubt any of that is true.... Really??? What do you think happened..... It's obvious he was hurt while being restrained by one of the officers. www.youtube.com/watch?v=xXMTPGf3fFMNo excuse for the delay in medical attention for this man. But I forgot, he's a black thug so why should we care about it? We should probably just go ahead and start killing them while they are young. Just drive up and start shooting! www.youtube.com/watch?v=x1GaaMYhrw0

Greg .. I was talking about him having a pre-existing neck injury and a pending settlement with Peachtree. Which is, like I said, not true.
I should not have used the word "any" because I just glanced over it, saw it was mostly about the spinal thing that has been going around the net, and ignored the rest of it.
Kind of like the stories that went around about Officer Wilson having a blown out eye socket and all that jazz ....

The true massacre of the black young is happening while they are still in the womb. The overwhelming majority of abortions are black....
The overwhelming black homicides are blacks doing the killing of other blacks..
Only when a white cop kills a black man, justified or not, do we get outrage, "protests", rioting, looting and arson..
It is going to get worse before it gets better.

Ah well, no arguments there Woody. But as to why it's happening, and with more frequency, who can really say? Perhaps it's happening more often because nothing has changed that people wanted changed. And when people say we need to find the cause of the disease and not just treat the symptoms... I wasn't really sure what they were trying to say. I try to keep a pretty open mind, so I read a lot of things. And I stumbled across this article, and it really got me to thinking about that question keep asking? "Why do people burn down their own neighborhoods?." It was a very poignant piece, even if it's from a "liberal" site. I would even daresay that you could replace the word "black' with impoverished and have the exact same results. www.dailykos.com/story/2014/11/25/1347311/--Why-do-they-burn-down-their-own-neighborhoodNo single section of people is to blame. Complex, deep and historically weighted issues like this......it is dumb and flippant to single out one group. Everyone involved needs to own up to the stakes they have in this fight and the mistakes they made. The looters and rioters need to own up to the fact that they were doing more harm than good. The police (around the nation) need to get their own house in order: stop killing your fellow American citizens and stop defending those among yourselves who are not worthy to carry the badge. The Baltimore city government needs to own up to the fact that they could have done more to help the community pull itself out of poverty. Nobody has won. The complexity escapes everyone because everyone is looking for a position on the higher moral ground when there is none to be had.

My questions are where are all the news stories of a black cop killing a white man? or white cop kills a white man? Black cop and black man? Funny how that works... I'm not saying the pot hasn't been stirred before but now these "protesters/rioters" are looking for a reason to protest/riot. There is nothing wrong with a peaceful protest. What is the purpose of burning down your hometown? What will that solve? All I can say is that if something happens where you need a cop, remember where you stood at the riot. Cause I'm sure they will still come running to your rescue.

Ya know, I live a peaceful life. I did what I told and kept out of trouble. I was an A honor student, I gradated with a science degree from Purdue, have never smoked a cigarette, avoided going to college parties and never partook of any illegal substance in my life.
Yet what was my reward for all this? Don't break laws and cops will never bother you right? Oh I'm sure there is another side to this story! My reward for doing the right thing was to be sexually assaulted at a random stop via cavity search without gloves by a male cop at 16 yrs old who was "searching for drugs" for 20 minutes and threatened that I would be thrown in jail if I protested, to have my plea for help recover a stolen vehicle ignored and turned away and to be barrel swept with my own firearm during a waterfowl hunt checking for plugged guns (this last one was obviously just a mistake but...really? You waded through my decoys, broke two of them getting tangled in the lines, flared 4 sets of birds working the spread to get to me, and all just to check my gun for a plug and barrel sweep me in the process with my own gun..... really???)
Please, by all means, tell me under what circumstances it is appropriate for a MALE officer to perform a cavity search on a 16 yr old female during a random stop without wearing gloves? Please tell me, when it OKAY for me to stop complying with my body being violated by someone who threatens to take me to jail if I resist? Please tell me what the "other" side of this story is that I am missing that makes it okay to treat me like that. Because you know.. there's always "another side to the story" when it comes to police that will somehow justify this creep's behavior.
I really want to like police... I really do. But some of my personal experiences have been so unpleasant that my trust of them is probably tainted for life and it angers me beyond reason when people try to sweep injustice under the rug and pretend that it doesn't exist. Whenever I see them, and all I can think is.. "Wow, I'm a white female and they treated me like this... I can't imagine how they treat people who they dislike or are criminals."
So please tell me... what is it exactly that I gain by defending police? Because they sure as heck haven't done me too many favors in my life and I was a good little girl just like society told me to be.

The media exploits these things. You want them to stop carrying only stories about white on black crime? Turn off the tv or turn the channel. I watch less than two hours of tv a week. It's a waste of my time. Unbiased news without propaganda is hard to find.
