Gotta love savage! Always been a big fan. I have the 220 slug gun for my whitetail gun

Scope and fully loaded you are close to ten pounds. Think I'd have to pass on lugging that one run and gunning. Pretty though.

$720 MSRP = usually street cost of around $100 or so less. That's quite a pricey dedicated single purpose gun. No doubt it's extremely well made, but total cost of my 3.5" 870 Express mag with after market choke, and thumb hole stock is still WELL below $300 and with Winchesters new 3.5" Long Beard XR turkey loads, it's a utterly devistating combo as the new Long Beard XR's perform as advertized.
For those who use the best money can buy, the new Savage 220 turkey gun is undoubtedly just that.

I have seen it below $600 on Gunbroker. Gotta love Savage. Some of the most accurate rifles I own.

I got mine for $499 at Blythes in Valparaiso. But that was for the slug gun. Again, well worth every penny.
