Well it actually was a lot more than 2 bits but what a difference. My younger female lab has or shall I say had a real thick wiry coat that doesn't give off much when brushed and lately I have noticed that she has been running a bit on the hot side when we go for a run.
Yesterday I took her to a groomer and much to her delight as well as my wife's the dog got a long over due bath "that is according to my wife" and a haircut. I had them cut her down to about a 1/4 of an inch and the funny thing is that this dog has always been a honey color but underneath that long hair she was as white as snow.
I should have done this decades ago to all my other labs because now she won't shed nearly as bad and the dog likes the shorter hair style.

I have heard dogs can get sunburnt with a short cut, so be careful out there. Amen on the shedding, our shepard/husky looks like you sheared a sheep when she starts shedding. Hot in the sun today, been splitting wood over here in Rolling Prairie! Now gotta get going to work. Have fun.
