LOL, good going Jeff! Don't know what's going on with me, but been out 5 times, had exactly 2 shots, and missed them both, otherwise I haven't seen any limb chickens, since the nuts hit the ground..... Next weekend is "high speed beef" season , for about 5-6 days, then back to the limb chickens..... maddog Get your deer in early archery, then it frees up the cold weather push for squirrel hunting. They are more active now mid day from what I have seen.

I have like 9 people from a local restaurant coming over tomorrow evening for some Squirrel n Dumplings. So I pan fry up seven squirrels and then add them to my pressure cooker. Now there are a couple local squirrels here that always just take off running over to the neighbor's place whenever they see you or hear something off. It's been a cat and mouse game between us all year long. I keep telling them each time that sooner or later they will make a mistake. They also loved eating all my peaches from my first crop off these new trees. I look out the window while I am cooking and there one is, 50 yards out in my raised pepper garden. By the time I get the rifle, he is in the raised strawberry bed. Add one more to team 1. Biggest of the season for me, but still not monster sized. I believe it is a young squirrel. He had the genetics to be huge next season.

How much water in the pressure cooker? Little in bottom or cover them? A little in the bottom but be careful not to burn them. I pressure them 30 minutes.

This is the only shot I've successfully made on a squirrel this year and of course it was while deer hunting. Cows wouldn't let me sit in the pasture today or I would've taken the silent killer and taken this one and the other one out
