They do good work most of the time, but very slow. This comes from sources on Dougs Message Board. It is an original site for Savage and now all smokeless mz.

I didn't realize, but this company is located in Indiana. Read about this on the Kentucky Hunting Forum. They say one can use smokeless powder, which I am certain this can be safe, but I think I'd stick with "Triple 7". I have a T/C Black Diamond M/L .50 Cal. which is very accurate using 90 grs. (Volume) of Triple 7 FFG. I mounted a Leupold 2-7 power (Heavy Duplex) scope on it, this past weekend, sighted it in with only 4-shots @ 75 yards, using 250 grain .451 XTP Hornady bullets in black Sabots. Had a T/C peep sight made for the Black Diamond, but it's hard for me to use in a wooded situation with 66 year old eyes.

I purchased a 50 cal smokeless barrel from them for my Encore. I am very happy with the barrel and the capabilities of the smokeless setup. Will never go back to BP or BP subs.

Saw comments about their work on a few different sites and it seems the past few years that their work is "spotty" as to good or not. Not necessarily about accuracy, but fit/finish quality.

I too have heard some of the same talk. I bought mine in 2011 and had zero issues but I also drove to their facility with my Encore frame and spent some time with Mr. Ron Name discussing smokeless muzzleloading in general and had him install the barrel and look it over for proper fit and such. I realize not everyone can do this and it was a nearly 2 hour one way trip for me but it is the best approach if possible IMO.

Jeff is in Ky. hankinscustomrifles.com/You might give him a call and talk about a prospective build. He is probably on the pricey side, but exceptional work.
