The 2016 Legislative summer study agenda has been released. This is the first (maybe the last) meeting to be held for discussions pertaining to legislation being proposed for the next legislative session beginning in January. Of note is the discussion on DNR funding. Bills that go through this committee have the best chance to be passed in the regular session. Never seen one pass here and fail. iga.in.gov/static-documents/7/4/f/b/74fb29e4/meeting.pdfJack

You have to remember that they created this "mess". They don't see it yet...maybe never will.Best we can hope is they let it die after 5 years.

I do doubt that they will sunset it. Centerfires will have caught on too big time by then and the hunters will really want them .. "Cold dead hands..." comes to mind....

I know many of the conservation groups are interested in the long term funding of DNR. They want something the legislature can't touch. Not really possible but you could make it harder for them to raid the DNR funds.
