I've been a couple times. There are a few things I enjoyed such as the mounts of the trophy deer taken in Indiana and some of the speakers such as Jim Ward.
A lot of it is just people trying to sell you things though. Lots of gadgets and hunting trips.

Went today and the crowd seemed down more than normal. You could actually walk down an isle and look at things. A lot of big deer and the new 2017 Hoosier Record Book is available. Overall a good show and something to do when it is snowing and cold!

We went and I took my deer from 2015 to be scored. It was crowded, but not like years past.

Went last year. Going again tomorrow. Downtown Indy is a zoo. Last year when we got out of the truck in the fairgrounds parking lot we heard gun shots and screaming from the adjacent neighborhood. 38th street at its finest.....

Been here since 10, I have to say I'm really enjoying it. Bought a nice scratch pad for a buddy's bday coming up.

Too busy this year so not going. Like to go with the family not so much for the hunting items. I usually find good deals on fishing gear, boating items and kids like the jerky, chocolate treats and the shows they have.
But with admission, parking and food the deals are not very good! With Internet in everyone's pocket you don't really need to have all the outfitters in the same event to find a good deal.

Went yesterday to help my dad find a camper and think I bought one. They didn't have this particular model on hand. The factory rep was there and said delivery is scheduled Tuesday. I'll go to the dealership then and make a final decision. The dealer is 20 miles from my house, go figure.
The DTWE seemed good. I didn't stay there long. I noticed a large number of manufactured blinds and I'm not sure putting the local hunting preserves across the aisle from the Wall of Fame was the best product placement.
I saw a product going in that I forgot about until know, but as was stated we all have the ability to find things in our hands. They were call stand gloves, or stand mittens, maybe stand hands.... Basically heavily insulated over mitts that attach to your safety rail or strap to your thighs. For $20 they seemed like a good idea.

Overall I'd say crowds were down. Same stuff, different year.
Beer is $8, polish sausage is $9 and hamburgers require a cosigner...parking is still $5

Used to go to both cincy and Indy shows. Both have got worse over the years. Don't attended them anymore.

I took my 7 year old daughter (she loves it), if not for her I wouldn't go back. My highlight was on the way home, headed southwest towards Meridian street, My baby says very innocently "this looks murdery". LOL,she hit the nail on the head!

Changed my mind didn't go. Probably won't go again. Too expensive, bad neighborhood, mostly nothing worth seeing for the second or third time
