Caught another mess today for the fryer. Warm weather got them back up in the shallows. Crawdad rooster tail 16th oz bass can’t resist it.

Just got off the lake...but not fishing. Pushed a new road out and moved the house. 20 inches of ice, ice was not even popping when I drove on it today. I also found a 4wheeler with just one back tire and rack sticking threw the ice, looks like it has been there awhile, was over 18 feet of water. Going to call sheriffs office now and see whats up, in this small community I figured I would have heard about it. Will grab a picture tomorrow.

will they tie a large float on it so they don't have to go diving in the Spring? Or just consider it more fish cover when it hits bottom?

Sheriff called and yes it has been there for 4 weeks, driver is fine. They will chop it out of the ice as soon as the ice will hold a tow truck.

Just out of curiosity where about's in the land of 10,000 lakes are you located. I’m northwest of Duluth 2 1/2 hours. My boy is going up to lake of the woods to fish in the morning, that’s on the Canadian border, takes hour forty five to get there.

Yesterday we had the whole lake to ourselves, as far as I can see anyhow. We were on Lake Winnibigoshish, just up the road from my house.

Good looking walleye. I’m going out this weekend and hope to pull in some bluegill and crappie.

Love to go back again but the drive, I did talk wife into going to NW Wisconsin, been doing that for several years
