Son in law and I caught a limit (25 each) of whopper bluegill Memorial day in Michigan. Most were 9" - 10" fish.

I went to trailcreek at 5am today and spent 4 hrs there. Saw some fish surfacing but nothing was biting. Talked to a handful of ppl that were having the same problem. Hopefully the steelhead pick up and get to running soon.

Colts: I am glad to see you are learning to gently cradle your fish. LOL. Yeah i didn't figure lipping these ones would be a very good idea. How's the river up your way?

Went out this morning, got a bag of bluegills redears and hybrids. A lot of the bluegills have eggs again. Threw back the females and kept the males. Caught a couple nice back but threw them back.

Fished Kentucky Lake in Tennessee Friday & Saturday, bite was tough and weather was stinking hot. We kept about 40 crappie, some of which were real slabs and 3-4 nice catfish. Also caught a mixed bag of largemouth, yellow bass and bluegill that we released.

Best of the bunch 21 total The best part was the sun set Just fished off piere. Did not feel like messing with boat. Just wanted some easy fishing/relaxing time. Got just what i wanted. I played with a new method of fishing for gills to me. It was a drop shot rig with a reworm for bait. Worked well once I got the hang of it. I still had 2 bobber rigs out deep. One for pirch,of which I got 0,and one for gills. Was a good time all around.

I just got back into fishing a few weeks ago after a 5 year layoff. I wasn't really big in it before anyways but I'm all in now. It gives me something to do outdoors while hunting is not in season and my wife and kid's enjoy it as well. Unfortunately the fishing up here in northern part of the state is not the greatest, but I'll keep trying .
