...my question is, how long before I should hunt it. I purposely waited for a cold windy day to help push scent away. I did use a Stihl gas powered pole saw though. That's my biggest concern for the scent. Thoughts or opinions?

I prefer to hunt the time it's hung. With the wind and being wet I say it's good. The change in the area is a bigger concern verses the Stihl.

Deer pay no atten to chainsaw smell in woods or diesel fuel smell in a corn field

The first time u hunt a new stand is always the best. Hunt it before they spot it is what I would do!!
