I just started my coals for my smoker. I want to half smoke a ham and then finish it off in the oven.
What do you think.
Ham is fully uncooked and is thawed.

Was it cured or brined in any way before smoking? If not, I'm guessing it will be more of a pork roast instead of ham. How was it?

I ended up smoking for 3 hours and threw it in the oven to get to the magical 165.
Just enough smoke flavor and still moist. It came out really good.

I bought myself a smoker with some Christmas money I received. I’ve done a few things so far, but the ribs I smoked today were by far my best.

I got a Masterbuilt electric on the advice of 2 very experienced friends. Found almost half priced clearance deal at Lowes. Super easy, and I love it!!! Once you figure out the times/temps and how much/flavor smoke you like, you will be in heaven.

My wife don’t really eat ribs, but said those were the best she has had. Covered the ribs in an applewood rub and used jack Daniels wood chips.

Same smoker. Lots of good youtube videos. Wife is same way, plus dont like hardly any smoke flavor. One thing I learned right away, less is more when it comes to smoke.
